Liz is one of my favorite characters, and I'm immensely interested in her love life, as it somewhat duplicates my own before I was married. But what really bugs me is, whenever you get onto Liz's love life and things get going and get me all worked up to a fever pitch, BOOM! You stop the Liz story right in the middle of the thickening plot, and switch to April! Puh-LEEZE - finish the Liz and Anthony story and THEN devote your time to April and her high school band!

I am so glad that you've brought Liz and Anthony together. As an avid reader and defender of the strip, I've watched Liz grow up and mature and I've followed Anthony's sorrows too. Why not put them together? Although some readers may think Anthony dull and boring, he is a steady, faithful person and a devoted father. Who knows what passion might be beating inside him? To those who think that Liz is settling, I disagree. Maybe Liz just couldn't see what was right in front of her all along. My vote is to continue to develop them storyline between them.

getting well along in years, I'm wondering if I'll last long enuf to learn the end of the Liz/Anthony reunion, and hopefully a wedding. It's loooonng overdue!

I adore Liz. Always have. I was soooooo excited for her and Paul, but that seemed to fizzle out before it had a chance to get started! I'm still hoping that he wakes up and gives her a call BEFORE she makes a misake and ends up with Anthony. There's just no chemistry there, plus the fact that he has a rather nasty ex-wife and a little girl. There's nothing wrong with a pre-made family, but this just doesn't seem to click. Here's hoping Liz will see the light!!

Lynn,
I have been reading For Better or For Worse for as long as I can remember. I do not remember any time I did not read For Better or For Worse. I was there though Elli's pregnancy with April, The death of Farley after he saved April's life and so many more. I absolutely love the character of Shannon Lake. Like Shannon I also have development disabilities and I am in an independent living program. Shannon is such a courageous person. I love the way she stands up for herself. Thank you so very much for adding this absolutely awesome character of Shannon Lake. Thank you so very much for bring For Better or For Worse to life each and every day in the comics section of news papers around the world.
Love and smiles,
Debra D.
Are the two typos in Shannon's e-mail today deliberate ("now" for "know" and "fiend" for "friend"?

[Yessir, they are!]
Although I'm a part of the anti Liz & Anthony troupe, I have to say that I understand why Liz is back with him. Right now, she just needs something easy and comfortable. I think that in a few weeks/months, she's going to feel the need to stretch out her wings and seek out adventure. Anthony is a nice enough guy, but in the long run I have a feeling that Liz will want more.

Thank you. As a Mom of 17 yr old twins (boy and girl) who each have a degree of Cerebral Palsy (my daughter's legs are an electric wheelchair), I am sitting here weeping after reading Shannon's e-mail to her "friend" April. April 'gets it' it clicks, she understands people are just people. Shannon is SO much like my daughter. My daughter is an 'old soul' much like Shannon. They each have a way of saying something obvious and making you see, experience something for the first time through 'special' eyes.
While I secretly think Elly is really my sister and we were separated at birth, the maturity of April and the magic of Shannon ... well... I'll just sit here and continue to weep and think how lucky I am to be the Mom of a 'Shannon'.

Thanks for clearing up the mess about your "retirement".
I have been dreading the end of FB or FW for some time and I'm glad to hear its not so.
I have followed (off and on due to the availability of newspapers in the north)the entire Patterson family. I have bought books and reread strips to piece together the back story. The first night I found this site I spent the night reading the "archives" (much to the disbelief of my wife). The Pattersons have become such a part of my life, that its difficult to imagine them gone. Shannon Lake reminds me of my daughter who has learning disabilities and encourages me that she can have a life of her own on her own. I'm also one of the happy ones about Liz and Anthony. Who hasn't made a mistake and wanted to go back. This is what comics are about. A little fantasy mixed within reality.
Thanks for carrying on. You have captured the essence of a Canadian family. I look forward to the newest news from each character. Lynn, you truely are a Canadian treasure.
