I was born, Elizabeth, in January of 1980. Elizabeth Patterson and I have led parallel lives on-and-off for most of our lives. We were crawling, went to summer camp, and "came of age" at the same time. I'm so glad to see Elizabeth back together with Anthony! While I never had the childhood sweetheart, a part of me did fall in love with Anthony. The other love interests were exciting, but Anthony has had Liz's (and my) heart for a very long time. In December, I marry the love of my life, Jack. I can't wait to see Elizabeth's "happily-ever-after"!

I am another who is for the Liz/Anthony thing. Off and on during her many boyfriends, Anthony was always there for her, but very unsure of himself for her, especially after his disastrous marriage and divorce. Paul was not really a part of her life judging by the way he found someone new so quickly, and Warren traveled a lot, which puts a strain on any relationship. (One strip showed he had a bit of a wondering eye) Liz and Anthony have known each other for ever and are discovering each other in a new way. I think Franci will adjust to someone who cares for her.
My favorite strips are many as I had a boy and a girl nearly the same age as I watched Michael and Liz grow up. But the death of Farley was the hardest one to read (I have the book) and still can find tears for the loss. The children learned love for their pets in this way.
I hope (if even in reruns) this strip will go on and on. I LOVE seeing them all grow and change. I am SO pleased with the way Liz and Anthony came together!! And the way April defends and befriends Shannon.

I have been a faithful reader of this column for many years. I have just discovered "Coffee Talk" while searching for a link to tell Lynn how upset I am with Liz and Anthony getting back together.

I'm so glad Liz and Anthony are back together - and I love the way Lynn managed the storyline! Let's see more of them, and Liz' interaction with Francie. And someday I'd love to see what happened to the Kelpfroths, who were responsible for the fire and the whole development of Michael and Deanna buying John and Elly's house, etc. They shouldn't go unpunished - they WERE breaking the law when they disconnected the smoke alarm.

I've always aligned myself a bit with Elizabeth since I'm closer to her in age. I see a lot of my mom in Elly. While I don't know the complete Elizabeth-Anthony history, I am happy to see them together. They've obviously brought joy to each other's lives all along, regardless of their circumstances, so it's nice that they may be able to enjoy that for the rest of their lives. Isn't it their happiness that matters, after all? People have criticized Anthony's behavior in regards to his marriage, but I'm sure situations like that have happened plenty in real life. He settled for second best because Elizabeth wasn't an option, realized his mistake (albeit a big one), and has been working to recitfy it a little at a time, waiting until the timing was right and Elizabeth was ready.
