I have followed all of her romances with great interest, always wondering who she would end up with. I remember a conversation she had with her Mom about the kind of person Anthony was, and that he was always like a "best friend" and Elly responded that she had a person like that in her life too. That person was John. I saw her relationship with Anthony in a different light from then on, because I have lived long enough to know that passion may fade but true friendship endures a lifetime. And friendship in a marriage is often underrated, but during the "tough" times, it will be that glue that holds the family together. I hope that Anthony and Elizabeth take their relationship to the next level!

Not Anthony! He may be "steady, and trustworthy", but please, he's spineless. He wouldn't stand up to his first wife. Do you really think he'll stand up for Elizabeth when it comes to confrontations between his first wife and Elizabeth concerning his little girl? Not on your life! After all, the first wife is the "mother". Keep Anthony and Elizabeth apart unless you can give him some backbone. Elizabeth is better off alone...always looking for someone.

Thank you so much for bringing Elizabeth and Anthony together! I have been waiting for this for so long. I grew up reading FBorfW, first discovering a collection of your strips at my elementary school Book Fair back in the fourth grade, which is now 16 years ago. At first, I really identified with Michael, but then when I caught up to your newest strips, which I did in just a matter of weeks, I had begun to see myself in Elizabeth. I am just moving back home after being far north in what seems like another world from New Orleans. I too am a school teacher, and I too have just moved out of my parents home, where I stayed when I moved back. Finally, just in the last few weeks, I met a man who I think is my perfect match, and he's been there all along. Elizabeth and I are running parallel lives, so when I read the advance of tomorrow's strip in Yahoo News, I was so elated!

Here's the kicker: I'm going to a wedding next week of a close college friend, and guess who is going to be there?! It's uncanny! I am so happy for Elizabeth and Anthony and hopefully will be just as happy for me and James! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I've always read FBORFW and the last 15 years I have never missed it. I have waited each day for Liz and Anthony to get through this. Like all young people today, Liz waited longer wanting to grow up and know herself and her career better. I knew you would lose Anthony's goofy moustache and get him better glasses! Congratulatoins for allowing Liz to be happy at last! Congratulations, Liz and the Pattersons and to you, Lynn and your brilliant colleagues. Thank you for letting Elly and her family grow up and old with me and my family.

I am enjoying the Elizabeth/Anthony storyline. I married my high school sweetheart after a lengthy break from him, which included a marriage and divorce for him and a marriage ending in his death after a short illness for me. I believe that Anthony and Elizabeth never really got over each other. There has always been that curiosity about the other written into the story lines over the years where they would touch base at various functions and establishments. I believe they were meant to be, as the saying goes.

It's not "For Better or For Worse," but simply, "For Worse," to stifle your character's creative and independent life, in which she was making a difference in this world, and propel her back home so she can marry a lackluster person who is missing many essential qualities of character.Why does she have to marry anyone to be happy? Why is happiness defined in a two-dimensional man with a dead-end job, who never can move forward in life? That's not stability. The make-over into the guy she thought she knew in high school ... what is that supposed to mean, other than One Tall Illusion?

Stability???? With someone who's an emotional black hole? Anthony is one of those people who is an "energy vampire". Liz would do best to leave him in the dust. For all those with subjective memories-remember when Liz was almost raped, and Anthony , after beating up the guy, asked her to wait for him as he was getting divorced. If someone did that to me-they'd be on my negative list for all times. Liz doesn't need someone who would stifle and smother her like Anthony. You neglected to post my earlier contribution, is that because you are deliberately posting more of the few pro-Anthony e-mails and holding back on the more realistic negative ones???

FINALLY -- I want Elizabeth and Anthony to get together -- in fact that's what got me back to reading the strip. I was visiting my parents in Florida and their paper carries FBOFW. I remembered reading it growing up. When I got back to NY, I started reading it on the internet. I have a ton to say, but I will only get into Elizabeth and Anthony now--I WISH I MET MY SOUL MATE IN HIGH -- ADDITIONALLY, HAVING SCREWED THAT UP, GIVEN A SECOND CHANCE.

Yeah! Anthony and Liz are together! I've bought every comic book because I love their story so much, and have been so disappointed when things don't go their way. I hope that this isn't just a dream, these two have loved and cared about each other for years and are soulmates to the core! I just hope they don't rush it or get distracted and lose each other again. It's terrible how so many people lose the ones they love the way they did. I'd love to see her family's reaction too when they find out! Her parents have always liked Anthony, he's kind of been extended family all these years, it'd be great to see Anthony and Liz get married or elope or something! Liz obviously doesn't care that Anthony is a father, he's alot like her dad when you remember when she stopped by his house and she got to see the work he has done on it for his girl. If something had happened to Elly, Liz's dad would probably have been much like Anthony. Stable loving and kind, may seem bad to some people, but those of us who have been affected by divorce know how important those qualities are. If it's true that Lynn is retiring, I'd love to see this long awaited union come to pass and have an idea of where everyone is going. I'll miss this strip so much! I have been reading this strip for as long as I can remember! Since Liz and I are the same age,I've followed the Liz story-line closely. I'm in favor of the Liz/Anthony connection. Liz has had enough heart-ache with Paul and Warren. She needs stability and love now. And so what that Anthony has a little girl? Liz clearly cares for her and will make a wonderful stepmom one day if that's where Lynn wants this to go. In the end, its all up to the writer/creator and I think she's done and is doing an awesome job!! THX

I really really really did not want Anthony to be the One for Elizabeth. I really really really wanted the One to be Paul. I was so mad when he cheated on Liz. I know that it's what Ellie and John want for Elizabeth but is it really what Elizabeth wants? But I think that Lynn is the best, smartest cartoonist out there so I'll trust her judgment.
