Kay had this to say about her painting: "This is a plein air painting I did a few years ago of my friend Gayle's back porch. That's Gayle, heading out to the barn to feed the horses. She's saying, "Aren't the bugs eating you alive out there in the garden?" (Yes, they were, but artists have to SUFFER for their art!)"
