About Ned: He's yet to have a speaking part in the strip since he's made of plastic and doesn't talk, but Ned is one of Lynn's more interesting "characters". Ned spent most of his time hanging around the apartment that Mike and Weed rented from Mrs. Dingle.

After Mike and Weed graduated, they moved to separate houses - and Weed gave Ned to his girlfriend Carleen, but he eventually migrated back into Mike's possession. Meredith flushed Ned down the toilet and he languished inside the plumbing at Mike's house until recently, when he was discovered clogging the drain and rescued.
