About George: George Stibbs, a widower, was the Pattersons' neighbour on Sharon Park Drive. He owned a little house which is located on a sizeable corner lot down the street from the Pattersons' original home. John was fond of the large yard, and convinced Elly and April that it would be a good idea to buy George's house so Mike and Deanna could purchase the Patterson family home.
